This $1 million, multi-year fund is helping support community projects and initiatives that help local residents thrive and meet the social development goals of this growing neighbour.

RECONCILIATION & EQUITY ORGANIZATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS

The focus of these grants, kickstarted by the Barrett Family Foundation's Building Opportunities Greater Toronto Fund, is to enhance organizations led by, focused on and serving Indigenous peoples and equity-deserving groups. YSSI, supported by Scotiabank, is a multi-year collaborative effort to empower the educational and holistic success of Black youth in grades 6-8. YSSI delivers culturally-responsive programming that aims to meet the needs of Black youth enrolled in schools in the York Region and Toronto District School Boards.
